Barrel Rifling Profile
Measurement System

This system measures the changing groove position in the helix formation accurately along the rifled barrel length in order to verify the design data and twist exit angle at muzzle within tight angle tolerance values for groove constant twist rates, progressive parabolic etc. structures. The tracer head with encoders moves forward with constant or progressive rifling accordingly inside the barrel, collects twist angle input, and translates it into graphics for quality control purposes.
